The solar ultrasonic anemometer has been designed to measure wind conditions without moving parts. It measures wind speed and direction using electroacoustic transducers that send sound pulses back and forth. The time it takes for the pulses to travel from one transducer to another is influenced by air movement. Speed and direction can then be calculated with calibration for air temperature. The Sonic Anemometer features its own solar panel that charges an internal battery. Compatible with Vantage Pro 2 wireless and wired systems.

5. Davis Solar Sensor Instruments DAV-64

For measuring solar radiation and solar energy. The diffuser element and housing have been carefully designed for very low cosine deviation. Silicon photodiodes provide a good match to the solar spectrum. A double-walled housing minimizes radiative heat, allows for convective cooling of the sensor, and prevents the accumulation of water or dust. For installation next to the rain gauge, additionally mount the sensor holder (not included).
