3. Wilesco D18 Steam engine

Steam Engine D18

This model variant presents a completely new color scheme: the water-blue base plate has been combined with a black boiler casing and a silver-colored
aggregate plate. The flywheel is painted black.

The technology of this machine reflects a combination of the D20 and D16 types, enhanced with several technical refinements.

Additional technical details for the Steam Engine D18:
- Water drain valve
- Spring safety valve
- Steam whistle with chain pull
- Steam shut-off handwheel valve
- Steam jet oiler
- Elegantly designed, galvanized die-cast frame
- Base dimensions: 30 x 35 cm
- Height: 32 cm
- Net weight: 2.5 kg
- Heating: Dry fuel
- Boiler volume: 530 ccm

The highly polished and nickel-plated brass boiler has a capacity of 530 ccm and is equipped with a new small manometer (26 mm diameter) and a nickel-plated manometer base. The condensate is directed into a container hidden behind the boiler house, allowing the chimney to smoke realistically.

The aggregate plate has been expanded with a dynamo that supplies power to the lantern located at the rear, between the boiler and the aggregate. The lantern is inspired by industrial lamps from the turn of the century and illuminates the flywheel during operation.

4. Wilesco Steam engine D21

The D21 steam engine is a power machine featuring a double-acting, stationary brass cylinder. The technical specifications match those of the D20, but the distinctive color scheme stands out, giving this machine a particularly elegant finish: all metal parts are painted in black and red. The flywheel is also painted red. This special machine is complemented by high-gloss polished brass components. A technical highlight is the built-in feed water pump, which is exclusively found in the D21 steam engine within the Wilesco range.

This water pump allows for refilling the boiler with water while the steam engine is in operation. The condensate is directed into a condensate tray beneath the chimney, causing the chimney to emit steam. The steam outlet can be manually controlled on the D21 using a steam shut-off valve. The power machine is powered by the dry fuel Witabs, with one load providing approximately 10-15 minutes of steam enjoyment. From the first ignition of the steam engine, it takes about 5 minutes for sufficient steam pressure to build up before the machine can be set in motion. The D21 then has enough power to drive several models, allowing for a clear demonstration of the conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy. It is also particularly enjoyable to generate electricity and light by connecting the separately available parts Dynamo M66 or Dynamo with Lantern M66/2 to the D21.

5. Wilesco D9 Kit: Steam engine

This kit is the perfect entry point for steam enthusiasts who are passionate about steam technology. The assembled machine has the same technical specifications as the D 10 steam engine and has enough power to drive several models from the Wilesco program. The kit can also be easily assembled by an inexperienced steam enthusiast using the illustrated assembly instructions. Base dimensions: 260 x 200 mm, height: 240 mm, weight: 1.3 kg.

6. Wilesco D5 Kit: steam engine

The Wilesco steam engine D6 features a highly polished and nickel-plated brass boiler, as well as an oscillating cylinder. The water level indicator is designed as a sight glass, allowing for constant monitoring of the water level during operation. The boiler capacity is 135 cm³ with a boiler size of 100 x 45 mm. The flywheel of this machine, with a diameter of 70 mm, ensures smooth operation. The attached dome steam whistle can be operated at any time during use via a special lever. Its lovely sound is reminiscent of Emma, the locomotive from "Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver." When assembling the lever for the steam whistle of your D6, please ensure that the lever, made of black, heat-resistant plastic, points outward so that you can operate the lever during use without touching the boiler.

7. Wilesco D165 Steam engine, economy set

8. Wilesco Steam engine D4

Wilesco presents the D4 steam engine, another model powered by candles. The highly polished brass boiler generates the steam pressure to drive the small and delicate flywheel. The black, fireproof base, featuring beautiful details, is mounted on an elegant wooden plate. With its laser-cut contours, this model is a gem from every angle. The operation with special beeswax candles creates a cozy atmosphere that captivates everyone. Cleaning the model is also simple, as the unit can be easily detached from the wooden plate.

9. Wilesco Steam engine D10

The Wilesco D10 is our most popular model steam engine. With its double-acting cylinder, the power output of this model is significantly greater compared to models with oscillating cylinders. The drive mechanism of this machine features complete steam control and a centrifugal governor.

The boiler volume of the D10 steam engine is 155 cm³ (boiler length: 115 mm, Ø 45 mm). Any residual water remaining in the boiler does not negatively affect the machine's durability. This residual water can be easily drained "upside down" after removing the filling valve.

The most popular stationary steam engine in the Wilesco range is now also equipped with an authentically steaming chimney. The condensate is directed from the cylinder to the rear area of the boiler house into a condensate tray. This creates the appealing effect of smoke coming from the chimney. Now, the appearance provides even more genuine steam enjoyment for every steam enthusiast.

Like all Wilesco steam engine models, the D10 is characterized by its excellent build quality. The steam engine captivates both children and adults alike and is an ideal gift for technology enthusiasts.

10. Wilesco D141 Steam engine factory

A remarkable model that represents the original form of all operating models from the early days of steam technology in the 19th century. A variety of mechanics is presented in a compact manner within a small space: the steam engine D 14 (with manometer and steam shut-off valve), four corresponding machines - circular saw M 53, grinding bench M 52, band saw M 60, and drill M 51, a transmission mounted on the hall ceiling, and a protective roof resting on four columns designed in the style of that era.

Base dimensions: 230 x 440 mm
Height: 320 mm
Weight: 3.8 kg.
