Shielding
The strands of 100% copper are double shielded. A stranded wire is a conductor consisting of many thin individual wires and is therefore easy to bend. Another advantage is the high tensile strength. The cable also has an anti-kink protection. In contrast to conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous separation of halogen-containing fire gases is therefore impossible. Another advantage is that the exposure to toxic gases (e.g. hydrogen chloride gas in PVC) is reduced to a minimum. Halogen-free cables are also flame-retardant and there is no dangerous "fuse effect". Furthermore, halogen-free cables are low-smoke in case of fire.

S/FTP patch cable of category 6A (ISO/IEC). 100% tested according to ISO/IEC standards (European standard). Halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket. Conductors made of 100% copper. Gold-plated connectors with strain relief. Shielding. The conductors made of 100% copper are double-shielded. A conductor is a wire made up of many thin individual wires, making it flexible. Additionally, it has high tensile strength. The cable also features strain relief. Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous release of halogen-containing combustion gases is therefore excluded. Another advantage is that the exposure to toxic gases (such as hydrogen chloride gas in PVC) is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also flame-resistant and do not exhibit a dangerous "fuse effect." Wirewin® Category 6A patch cables meet the specifications according to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2, enabling data transmission of up to 10 GBit/s. The Category 6A is specified with a bandwidth of 500 MHz. The cable for these patch cables is double-shielded. Each pair is enclosed in its own foil shielding, with an additional braided shield on top. This construction is commonly referred to as PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) or S/FTP. The jacket of these cables is made from halogen-free material, making it flame-retardant. Yellow Category 6A RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts are surrounded by a special Wirewin® strain relief sleeve, which protects the connector while allowing for easy pressing. There is a length print on the underside of the sleeve. All Wirewin® KAT6A patch cables come equipped with this feature.
