1. Lightwin Network cable

The new KAT6A LIGHT patch cables from the SLIM brand set new standards in network technology. These thin cables facilitate patching for 10 Gigabit applications thanks to their extremely flexible and slim design.

The LIGHT patch cables are round, twisted pair, shielded, and meet the requirements for transmitting 10, 100, 1000 MBit, and now even 10 Gigabit.

Another significant advantage of the LIGHT patch cables is the flame-retardant outer jacket material and a special RJ45 connector, which features a unique material that prevents the latch from breaking. The latch can be bent back and forth hundreds of times without breaking.

Power over Ethernet transmission according to IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at is also possible. Additionally, this cable features our specially developed end design, characterized by easy pressing of the latch and a narrow, short form factor.

Typical application areas for the LIGHT patch cables include:
- Overcrowded server or network cabinets or cable ducts
- Switches with high port densities: With very short cables, you can easily patch from switch to switch or switch to panel without a cable management panel
- Connecting end devices at the desk (VoIP phones, printers, PCs, laptops), as the cables are extremely flexible and easy to lay on a desk
- Applications in industry or manufacturing where Ethernet connections are needed but space is limited
- As a patch cable in the technician's or field worker's laptop bag
- In private settings, to run a patch cable under the carpet, along the chair rail, or even through a window seal.

2. Lightwin Fiber optic cable

A conventional electrical signal in a copper cable is disrupted by electromagnetic interference. In contrast, optical fiber cables offer better protection against disturbances and are also more secure against eavesdropping. Additionally, the low attenuation of optical cables allows for long-distance transmission. The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, featuring an insertion loss of only 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 millimeters for a fiber optic cable. The OS designation for a fiber optic cable defines the quality class of a singlemode fiber optic cable. The classification distinguishes between two classes (OS1 and OS2), based on the level of optical attenuation and the possible transmission rate and distance.

What our customers think

Pro

  • Length (10m - ideal for my needs)
  • Long and favourable
  • works with the Swisscom box

Contra

  • Coat colour yellow
  • Colour does not fit (subjectively of course)
  • Yellow is not the best colour for cables

3. Lightwin LWL Duplex patch cable

Singlemode LC-LC Duplex OS2 30 m. Cable length: 30 m. Fiber quality: OS2. Duplex. Connectors: LC - LC. The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, characterized by low insertion loss. It is one of the most common types of fiber optic connectors. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable. Due to its compact design, the LC connector allows for high packing density, making it frequently used for fiber optic switches.

General information about fiber optic cables: Equivalent terms for fiber optic patch cables can include patch cords, adapter cables, connection cables, and jumpers. While a conventional signal in a copper cable can be subject to electrical interference, fiber optic cables operate using light. Therefore, they cannot be influenced by external electromagnetic interference, nor do fiber optic cables affect other lines or signals, as they emit no radiation. Additionally, due to the low attenuation of optical cables, distances of well over 100 km can be covered without optical amplification.

APC - Angled Physical Contact: In connectors with the APC designation, the end face is not only convex but the normal of the fiber end face is also tilted a few degrees relative to the fiber axis. This design allows reflected light from the core to be refracted into the air through the cladding glass, thereby preventing it from interfering with data transmission.
