WLAN Stick AC 860 from AVM is a WLAN network adapter in the form of a USB stick. The stick supports a data transfer rate of up to 866 Mbps. It is compatible with any WLAN router and ensures high security for network encryption thanks to WPA2 compatibility. The stick automatically installs itself within seconds when plugged into a computer. When used in conjunction with a FRITZ! Box, the network settings can be directly loaded onto the AC 860 via the USB port of the router. Connecting to other routers is also quick and hassle-free, thanks to the standardized WPS procedure. WLAN standard 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5). The WLAN standard 802.11ac offers you up to twice the data throughput compared to older standards. This increase is achieved by widening the transmission bandwidth. Additionally, with 802.11ac, the number of parallel data streams (Multiple Input Multiple Output, or MIMO) can be increased to up to eight MIMO streams, while the 802.11n standard defines a maximum of four MIMO streams. Large data volumes, such as videos and backups, are not a problem with this WLAN speed. Easy connection via WPS button. The system supports uncomplicated, automatic registration via WPS (WLAN Protected Setup). For setup, just press a button: WPS-enabled network devices will then connect to each other automatically.
