The Business Access Point NWA1123-AC supports the latest AC technology, achieving a maximum data throughput of up to 867 Mbps. This speed is made possible by supporting an 80 MHz channel width and 256-QAM modulation in the 5 GHz frequency band. Combined with the second radio, it results in a total gross data throughput of 1,167 Mbps.

The AC standard operates exclusively in the 5 GHz frequency band and is compatible with 802.11a/n. It does not support Wi-Fi devices that communicate solely with IEEE 802.11b/g. To accommodate 802.11b/g devices in the 2.4 GHz range, the NWA1123-AC features a second integrated radio that supports the older standards. This allows it to equip SMEs with the latest AC standard while also supporting older Wi-Fi devices.
