Yearbook 2025

The Toggenburg Yearbook is celebrating its 25th edition. Since its first publication in 2000, it has become a media reflection of the cultural diversity in Toggenburg. On the occasion of the anniversary, the editorial team is placing special emphasis on this diversity. The contributions address topics such as alpine farming, the mouse-eared bats, the first forest improvement project in the canton of St. Gallen in Kirchberg, and Toggenburg place names. Additional articles focus on the 300th anniversary of the Krinau church, the first wave of digitization in the 19th century, the Toggenburg diplomat Karl Bruggmann from Lichtensteig, and the Steiner organ dispute of 1825. Culinary highlights in Toggenburg, the Wattwil cultural cinema Passerelle, the chronicle of all Toggenburg municipalities, and other topics are also included in the anniversary edition.
