Authentic 3D surround sound from a single speaker enclosure thanks to Digital Surround Projector technology. Behind the front grille are 44 precisely arranged and aligned speakers. To achieve accurate sound radiation for the 7 channels (front left/right, center, surround left/right, ceiling left/right), each speaker is powered by its own amplifier circuit with individual delay time. The sound is focused at precisely calculated angles directed at the walls and ceiling, and then reflected towards the listening position. This creates the same sound as if speakers were placed on the walls and ceiling - not virtual, but real 3D surround sound. When playing 7.1.2 audio tracks using Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats, instead of the surround channels, the sound of the surround back channels is reflected off the walls, and the YSP-5600 additionally generates virtual surround channels.

For the playback of current surround sound formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the tuning of the ceiling channels in relation to the listening position is crucial, especially to ensure optimal spatiality of the sound. With the YSP-5600, the angle of the ceiling-directed channels can be adjusted either manually or automatically, allowing for perfect alignment with the listening position. Even if the listening position changes relative to the screen, you can fully enjoy the authentic 3D surround sound.
