The BD-S681 features a CD mode specifically designed for CD playback. This mode reduces the rotation speed, thereby increasing the sampling accuracy. Additionally, this combination stabilizes the drive motor and reduces vibrations. At the same time, HDMI video outputs and other circuits are disabled. High-quality music reproduction is achieved here, similar to that of high-end CD players.

This Blu-ray player is compatible with Miracast—a wireless standard that allows you to use any Miracast-compatible smartphones and tablets to play videos and images through the player. Thanks to this feature, the whole family can enjoy the content on a TV screen together. Take it a step further by combining the player with a Yamaha AV receiver, and you can experience all media with powerful, dynamic sound.

With the built-in Wi-Fi, you can connect to your Wi-Fi router and enjoy music and streaming services from the network. If you don’t have a Wi-Fi router available, you can stream music directly from your smartphone or tablet using the Wi-Fi Direct feature. Additionally, you can control your receiver with the AV Controller app or MusicCast app.
