There are now several routers that do not require an antenna switch or automatic detection. These routers, such as the Fritzbox 6842, struggle with the so-called "ohmic short circuit" that occurs with logarithmic-periodic antennas. In contrast to other routers, like the Speedport, which requires this "ohmic short circuit," the aforementioned routers result in connected antennas not providing any reception improvement.
The decoupling element is extremely small (10x10 mm) and mechanically very stable, allowing it to be easily mounted directly next to each other at the antenna port on most routers. You will need one decoupling element for each antenna line, so for an LTE Duo set, you will need 2 pieces.
