Innovative end design

The new KAT6A SLIM patch cables from the SLIM brand set new standards in network technology. These slim cables facilitate patching for 10 Gigabit applications due to their extremely flexible and thin design.

These flat patch cables are twisted in pairs, shielded, and meet the requirements for transmitting 10, 100, 1000 MBit, and now even 10 Gigabit.

Power over Ethernet transmission according to IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at is also possible. Additionally, this cable features our specially developed end design, characterized by easy pressing of the latch and a narrow and short form factor.

Typical application areas for the SLIM patch cables:

  • Overcrowded server or network cabinets or cable ducts
  • Switches with high port densities: With very short cables, patching from switch to switch or switch to panel can be done easily without a cable management panel
  • Connecting end devices at the desk (VoIP phones, printers, PCs, laptops), as the cables are extremely flexible and easy to lay on a desk
  • Applications in industry or manufacturing where Ethernet connections are required but space is limited
  • As a patch cable in the laptop bag for technicians and field service personnel
