Application areas for category 6 cables are voice, multimedia and data transmission as well as ATM networks.The strands of 100% copper are unshielded and the cable further has a kink protection. The sheath is manufactured halogen-free and is extremely flame retardant.UTP cable consists of a plastic jacket containing the unshielded pairs of stranded wires. Due to the lack of shielding, UTP cables have a small outer diameter and are easy to process and install.The bend protection sleeves in a particularly narrow design enable convenient cabling even for larger switches with 48 ports and more.Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: The dangerous release of halogen-containing combustion gases is thus excluded and smoke generation is minimized.
