The SLIM patch cables from the SLIM brand are a solution for cabling problems of various kinds. Although they look very similar to a ribbon cable, the SLIM patch cables achieve category 6 values and are therefore suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T applications, including Gigabit Ethernet. Three SLIM patch cables have the diameter of a single standard Cat6 patch cable. Despite its extremely thin design, the cable features twisting of the individual wire pairs. It also has a wide, flexible jack protection and a practical length label at both ends and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3af).
