This WDM media converter converts a singlemode fiber up to 20 kilometers with SC connector into a 1000BaseT RJ45 1Gbps LAN connection. The advantage of WDM is that you only need one fiber. For transmitter and receiver, you need two different devices. SC connectors are standard connectors for fiber optic cabling. They feature automatic locking and twist protection. Their use is recommended for new installations of computer networks with fiber optic technology. The connector is suitable for singlemode and multimode fibers. It can be used to establish simplex, duplex, and multiple connections.
