Der Klang der 220er zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass er nicht nur extrem ausgewogen ist, sondern dabei auch in sich sehr stimmig sowie feinste Details nachzeichnet. Das Ganze für einen Preis, der gemessen an der Konkurrenz schon beeindruckend gering ausfällt. Nach unserem ausgiebigen Streifzug durch die Musikgenres können wir nur feststellen: Wharfedale hat mit der Diamond 220 einmal mehr ganze Arbeit geleistet. Optisch sind die kleinen Briten echte Hingucker mit hervorragender Verarbeitung und klanglich konnten wir ? bis auf das klitzekleine, oben beschriebene Metallica-Problemchen in extrem lauten Bereichen nur Stärken und keinerlei Schwächen feststellen...
