Product details
This VOTRONIC DC-DC converter from the DCDC series enables the safe operation of 12V consumers on 12V power networks without the need for a separate battery system. The devices can be temporarily operated with up to 30% overload, allowing them to handle inrush, peak, and starting currents of various consumers. For safety against voltage breakdowns, defective ground connections, etc., a galvanic isolation between the input and output sides is built in. This ensures proper, independent ground conditions on both sides even with long connection cables, which is particularly useful in large vehicles, containers, roll containers, trailers, etc. Once the DC-DC converter is activated via the ON/OFF control input, which can be triggered by a switch signal, vehicle ignition, or D+, the battery voltage monitoring is also operational (charging detection at the starter battery, undervoltage shutdown). The output voltage is stabilized and smoothed, making it ideal for sensitive consumers. The output voltage can be set to three fixed, stabilized output voltages. In the fourth switch position, the output replicates the level of the input voltage variably. In this mode of operation, it is also advantageous to operate consumers that derive additional information from the 12V operating voltage.
