The compact and lightweight SmartOTDR performs all basic fiber optic tests in metro and access networks, such as: - OTDR measurements - visual inspection of fiber end faces with automatic pass/fail assessment - determination of optical attenuation (optical light source and optical power meter) - fault location using the VFL red light source. The OTDR modules are powered by the main device into which they are inserted. With a user interface tailored to different qualification levels, this intelligent solution accelerates and optimizes the execution of field tests for all technicians.
