Platform Nine and Three-Quarters — just the name conjures up another world, a world full of secrets and magic, hidden doors, spells, and secret passages. At Platform 9 ¾ of London’s King's Cross Station, young witches and wizards board the Hogwarts Express every September 1st at eleven o'clock, taking them to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, to reach Platform 9 ¾, students (and their luggage trolleys) must first pass through the massive barrier between platforms 9 and 10 without drawing the attention of the surrounding Muggles.
