Trumpeter Soviet D30 122mm Howitzer-Late Version

The D-30, or 122-mm howitzer D-30, is a Soviet howitzer that was first introduced into service in the 1960s. It is a relatively lightweight and portable weapon, yet heavy enough for sustained fire at long distances in the field. The D-30 has a maximum range of 15.4 kilometers, or over 21 kilometers with RAP ammunition. With its distinctive tripod stabilization system, the D-30 can be quickly rotated 360 degrees. Although it is no longer manufactured in the former Soviet Union states, the D-30 continues to be produced internationally and is in service with the armed forces of more than 60 countries. The 2A18 gun is the main weapon of the self-propelled howitzer 2S1. There are also Egyptian, Chinese, and Syrian self-propelled variants and modifications. The Syrian modification utilizes the chassis of a T-34 tank.
