Product details

The MiG-23 was developed between 1964 and 1966 as the successor to the MiG-21. In addition to a significantly more powerful engine, the most notable new feature of the MiG-23 was its variable-sweep wing. Similar to the F-111 of the U.S. Air Force, the wing could be adjusted in flight. When fully extended, this allows for a shorter takeoff and landing distance while carrying a heavier payload. With the wings fully swept back, the MiG-23 achieves higher speeds. The wing has three different sweep positions: 16, 45, and 72 degrees. The prototype first flew in April 1967, and the MiG-23 entered operational service in 1971.

Additional features include a detailed fuselage with precise design, a cockpit made of clear parts, variable wing settings, optional flap positions, numerous external loads, a finely detailed cockpit and landing gear, as well as crew seats with photo-etched seat belts and harnesses.

Three different versions are available:
1) Hell Fighter
2) Tactical number 050 from 28.PLM. Słupsk. August 17, 1999
3) Tactical number 139 from 28.PLM in Słupsk. Bydgoszcz July 8, 2002

Includes photo-etched parts and very detailed color assembly instructions.
