The TRENDnet industrial Modbus gateway, model TI-M12, offers a serial connection and two Fast Ethernet ports over distances of up to 100 meters using Cat5e cabling. With this industrial Modbus gateway, users can connect a serial Modbus device to a network. It features 1 serial port and 2 Fast Ethernet ports, allowing the connection of a serial RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 device, such as a modem, to a network. The device supports DHCP, automatically obtains an IP address, and queries the IP address via the serial configuration protocol. Configuration is done through web management or Telnet. It provides Auto-MDI/MDIX, an RJ45 port with 10/100 Mbps, and a serial interface baud rate ranging from 50 bps to 921.6 Kbps. The operating temperature range is between -40° and 75° C. The metal housing has an IP30 protection rating.
