The TL-FC111B-20 is a 100M media converter with a 100M RJ-45 port and a 100M SC fiber optic port that can convert between electrical and optical signals. Data transmission over long distances via fiber optics can be applied to commercial scenarios such as park security monitoring and wireless networking.

How this product works
The TL-FC111B-20 uses WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, allowing data to be sent and received over distances of up to 20 km using just a single-mode fiber. This saves customers half the cost of cable deployment. The TL-FC111B-20 transmits data at a wavelength of 1310 nm and receives data at a wavelength of 1550 nm on an optical fiber. Therefore, the device used in conjunction with the TL-FC111B-20 should send data at a wavelength of 1550 nm and receive data at a wavelength of 1310 nm. Another media converter, the TL-FC111A-20, is one of the products that can work with the TL-FC111B-20.

Other features
Additionally, this media converter can be used as a standalone device (no rack required) or with TP-Link's TL-FC1420 rack for auto-MDI/MDI-X on the TX port, where the duplex mode is negotiated automatically.
