Product details
TP-Link MC111CS - Singlemode Transceiver, 10/100 Mbit/s, 1x SC
The MC111CS is a media converter designed to convert 100BASE-FX fiber optic to 100Base-TX copper media or vice versa. By utilizing WDM technology, the MC111CS requires only one fiber optic cable for both sending and receiving data, allowing you to save on half of the cabling costs. The MC111CS is compliant with IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards and is intended for use with singlemode fiber optic cables with SC connectors. The MC111CS supports the long-wavelength laser specification (LX) at a full wire-speed forwarding rate. It operates at 1550 nm when transmitting data and at 1310 nm when receiving data. Therefore, the other device working with the MC111CS should transmit data at 1310 nm and receive data at 1550 nm.
Additional features of this module include the ability to operate as a standalone device (no chassis required) or with TP-Link 19" system chassis, as well as auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, automatic negotiation of duplex mode at the TX port, and status LEDs on the front. The MC111CS can transmit up to 20 km over greater fiber distances using singlemode fiber.
