TP-Link MC111CS - Singlemode Transceiver, 10/100 Mbit/s, 1x SC

The MC111CS is a media converter that converts 100BASE-FX fiber optic media to 100Base-TX copper media, or vice versa. By using WDM technology, the MC111CS requires only one fiber optic cable for sending and receiving data, which saves you half of the cabling costs. The MC111CS is designed according to the IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards and is intended for use with singlemode fiber optic cables with SC connectors. The MC111CS supports the long-wavelength laser specification (LX) at a full wire-speed forwarding rate. It operates at 1550 nm when transmitting data and at 1310 nm when receiving data. Therefore, the other device working with the MC111CS should transmit data at 1310 nm and receive data at 1550 nm.

Additional features of this module include the ability to be used as a standalone device (no chassis required) or with TP-Link 19" system chassis, as well as auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, automatic negotiation of duplex mode on the TX port, and status LEDs on the front. The MC111CS transmits up to 20 km over longer fiber distances using singlemode fiber.
