The device supports the establishment of VPN connections and helps protect your privacy. When using a public access point for internet access, third parties can easily intercept the data traffic. Not every connection can be encrypted through a direct route, and even if you use an encrypted connection for certain processes, the information about where you are connected remains visible. A VPN tunnel addresses both issues, as it allows for the encryption of all network packets. Anyone who might be monitoring the data traffic of the public access point can only recognize a connection to the VPN gateway – the actual destination remains hidden from them.
