Product details
The TP-Link Archer AX1800 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router designed to deliver enhanced wireless connectivity for demanding home networks. This model supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology with combined speeds up to 1800 Mbps, distributed across 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. It features a dual-core CPU to efficiently manage multiple connected devices simultaneously, making it suitable for households with numerous smart devices, gaming consoles like Xbox and PlayStation, and 4K streaming applications. The router incorporates WPA3 security protocol for improved network protection against unauthorized access. With OneMesh compatibility, this device can work with compatible TP-Link extenders to create a seamless whole-home Wi-Fi system without dedicated backhaul connections. The Archer AX1800 includes four external antennas for optimized signal coverage and four Gigabit Ethernet ports (one WAN, three LAN) for wired connections to devices such as gaming consoles, desktop computers, or network-attached storage. It measures approximately 260 mm in width, 144 mm in depth, and 35 mm in height, with a weight of 380 g. This router operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C and requires a power input of 12 V DC. Setup is facilitated through the TP-Link Tether mobile application or web interface, allowing for straightforward network configuration and management. The dual-band functionality helps reduce congestion by separating traffic between frequency bands, while beamforming technology focuses Wi-Fi signals toward connected devices for more stable connections. This model succeeds previous Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) routers from the manufacturer, offering backward compatibility with older Wi-Fi standards while providing the efficiency improvements of Wi-Fi 6 technology, including better performance in environments with multiple connected devices.
