Product details

Cascadable single-cable multi-switch with 5 inputs (1 x terrestrial passive and 4 x SAT), 2 dCSS/dSCR subscriber outputs that support the SCR I (EN50494) and SCR II (EN 50607) standards as well as "Legacy Mode." This allows both new and existing receivers to be operated.

Dynamic mode: All transponders from a satellite can be received. Up to 16 subscribers (according to EN 506+D1607) can be supplied per output via a single cable.

With the exclusive DCFLEX functionality, the multi-switch has the flexibility to be powered from anywhere in the system. This allows the installer to choose the best power supply option for the specific installation. A switch (DC LINK) can be set to determine whether the multi-switch is isolated from the power supply of a cascading system or not.

Highlights

  • 2 outputs for up to 16 subscribers per output
  • DCFLEX functionality
  • Can be powered in 3 ways: via a power supply, through the SAT lines, or through the receiver outputs
  • Easy to integrate into an existing installation. By turning off the SAT DC LINK, the multi-switch is powered locally (or via the STB) when the power supply is connected, without burdening the cascade
  • Increased safety for the receivers when the multi-switches are disconnected from the power supply of the cascade (RECEIVER POWER OFF). When the switch is ON, the connected receivers provide power to the single-cable multi-switch
  • The switch TERR.DC ON disconnects or connects the power supply from the cascade in the terrestrial path. This can be useful for powering a mast amplifier or a BOSS antenna, as well as for the terrestrial branches of other multi-switches in a cascade
  • With a power consumption of 10V to 20V, the dCSS multi-switches are compatible with many on the market.

If you still want to provide classic television via cable connection for several end devices, there is no way around a multi-switch distribution system. Our three test samples can provide the signals from one satellite position for several subscribers at the same time. Axing and Televes can even distribute two satellite positions by using wideband LNBs...
