Telegärtner N-type surge arrester (F-F)
Product details
Performance Features: 2.7 GHz High-Performance Gas Discharge Arrester (GDT G27): The operation of gas discharge arresters involves diverting high currents from the inner conductor to the outer conductor and then to ground. The gas discharge cartridge is located between the inner and outer conductors. When the trigger voltage is exceeded, it ignites and shorts the overvoltage. Advantages of this series include very high discharge currents (up to 40 kA, 8/20 impulse), selectable trigger voltages ranging from 75 to 600 V, and a frequency-independent operating range of up to 2.5 GHz. The gas discharge cartridge can be replaced afterwards. 3.8 GHz High-Performance Gas Discharge Arrester (GDT G38): As an extension of the application spectrum for our high-performance gas discharge arresters in 5G applications, Telegärtner has developed a completely revised product family that promises excellent return loss values at high frequencies up to 3.8 GHz. The operation of this product category is the same as that of the G27 arrester family. Here, too, trigger voltages from 75 to 600 V can be selected, and the gas cartridge can be replaced. The new development also provided the opportunity to expand the portfolio with new 4.3-10 and 2.2-5 surge arrester types. 6 GHz Compact Gas Discharge Arrester (GDT G6): This series operates on the same principle as the high-performance gas discharge arresters. It primarily differs in its more compact design and significantly extended frequency range up to 6 GHz. This allows for use in WLAN applications with a transmission frequency of up to 5.8 GHz. The maximum discharge currents are slightly lower than those of the high-performance type, with 10 kA (8/20 impulse, single use) and 5 kA (8/20 impulse, multiple use), and the trigger voltage is set at 150-250 V. The surge arresters can be mounted using single-hole installation.
