Wave Resistance (Impedance) 50 Ohm or 75 Ohm: In most application areas, the 50-ohm system is used. However, for the transmission of video and audio signals, as well as in long-distance technology, the 75-ohm system is typically employed.
Insertion Loss (Attenuation): Insertion loss describes the electrical signal losses along a cable. It is primarily determined by the cable diameter, the dielectric material, and the frequency to be transmitted. Low-loss cables are characterized by particularly good, i.e., low values for insertion loss. Compared to a similarly sized RG cable, the signal attenuation is significantly lower even at higher frequencies.
