The new star in the premium class of digital satellite receivers – welcome the DIGIT ISIO S2. With its anodized aluminum housing, the device not only looks exceptionally good, but it is also exceptionally well-equipped. App control, full watchmi functionality, and a true HDTV Twin Tuner for simultaneously watching and recording two different programs are just a few highlights of its many features. In the network, the receiver can be used as a UPnP client and server, making it a perfect multimedia hub. This allows you to stream live content to any multimedia device with a compatible UPnP-enabled media player, whether it's a laptop, PC, or gaming console, or play the content using the MYTECHNISAT app on a tablet or smartphone. The DIGIT ISIO S2 is also one of the first Bluetooth-capable devices from TechniSat, which can be paired with headphones or speakers using the optionally available TechniSat USB Bluetooth adapter.

Insgesamt macht der Tuner einen tollen Job und ist dabei auch reich an Features. der Twin Tuner kann gleichzeitig zwei Programme aufzeichnen und im Heimnetz macht das Modell ebenfalls eine tolle Figur. Leider fehlt dem Gerät ein WLAN, das allerdings optional per Stick nachgerüstet werden kann. Die Handhabung sowie die schnellen Umschaltzeiten sind exzellent udn preislich mehr als attraktiv.

Der Tuner besitzt eine sehr gute Empfangsleistung und stellt das Bild sehr scharf sowie mit intensiven Farben dar. Doch auch der Klang kann sich hier hören lassen und mit Sonderfeatures wie der watchmi Funktion oder der Programmierung aus der Ferne via App bleiben kaum Wünsche offen. Nur der Stromverbrauch im Aufnahmemodus könnte hier etwas geringer ausfallen.
