Tamiya US Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 Awaiting Orders

The display model is a replica of the US M8 howitzer. During World War II, the M8 was developed as a self-propelled howitzer. The howitzer used the chassis of the M5 and featured an open turret armed with a 75mm howitzer and a 12.7cm M2 machine gun. From September 1942 to January 1944, approximately 1,800 units were produced with M8 action starting in mid-1943. They were deployed in Italy and Northwestern Europe, as well as in the Pacific for fire support tasks. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with its precision fit and attention to detail.
