Product details

The layout of the Tyrell P34 Six Wheeler featured four front wheels to reduce aerodynamic drag while improving the car's braking and steering. After a series of test sessions and subsequent design updates, the P34 made its debut in the hands of Patrick Depailler at the Spanish Grand Prix in May 1976. It really took off a month later at the Swedish Grand Prix when Jody Scheckter brought the P34 home in the top two positions ahead of Depailler, demonstrating the car's potential, which was underscored by Tyrrell's third place in the Constructors' Championship that year.
