Tamiya JGSDF Type 10 Tank 2012

The stand model as a plastic kit in 1:35 scale is a detailed and accurate replica with a length of 27.3 cm and modular armor - the 120 mm main gun. Rubber skirts on the lower hull and belt-like tracks provide the base. The model is completed with 2 additional figures and 3 sets of markings to make the dioramas of model builders even more realistic.

The Type 10 is the next-generation main battle tank of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. It joins its predecessors, the Type 61, Type 74, and Type 90, in the Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniatures series. The Type 10 was first introduced to the world in 2010 and was assigned to units starting in 2012.

Among the many advancements over the predecessor model Type 90 is a domestically produced 120 mm smoothbore gun and the so-called C4I system. This state-of-the-art computer system allows the Type 10 to connect to a network and exchange information with other tanks, enabling coordinated actions.
