The model is a replica of the Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle. The Douglas F-15 Eagle is considered one of the most powerful twin-engine air superiority fighters in the world today. Since its maiden flight in July 1972, this record-setting Mach 2.5 fighter has set the standard for jet fighter design. In the early 1980s, the Air Force tasked McDonnell Douglas with transforming their F-15 fighter into a dual-role aircraft known as the F-15E "Strike Eagle," designed for both air-to-air combat and ground attack missions. This new version was developed to penetrate deep into enemy territory without escort and to strike military targets with precision.
