Product details
The Bismarck, her sister ship was the Tirpitz, was commissioned in August 1940. She was operated under the command of Captain Ernst Lindemann and was at that time the largest and most powerful battleship. She could reach a maximum speed of 30.1 knots (approximately 56 km/h). Her armament consisted of eight 380 mm QFG L/47 twin guns, twelve 150 mm QFG L/55 twin guns, 16 105 mm L/65 anti-aircraft guns, and 16 37 mm anti-aircraft guns, as well as 12 20 mm anti-aircraft guns.
She sank at the end of May during World War II after a fierce battle with units of the British Royal Navy, taking most of her crew with her in the North Atlantic.
