The model is a replica of the Junkers JU-87 B-2 Stuka. The dive bomber Junkers Ju-87 earned its famous nickname Stuka from the German dive bomber. Despite this nickname, its poor aerodynamics, and lack of defensive armament, this aircraft appeared to be very effective in the early phases of the war, as it could accurately hit a target in a nose dive – a capability that most aircraft of World War II did not possess.
