Product Name: 1:72 Helicopter Mi-24V "Hind" C
New composition! The Mil Mi-24 (NATO code name "Hind") is a large attack helicopter and troop transport with a low capacity (8 people) produced by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant. It has been in use since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force, its successors, and in more than 30 other countries. In NATO circles, the export versions, Mi-25 and Mi-35, are simply referred to with a letter as a suffix, such as "Hind D" or "Hind E."
This kit includes:
- 414 parts
- Two versions: MIL 24 V, with machine gun; MIL 24 VP, with cannon
- Highly detailed engines
- 4 pilot figures
- 3 decal versions (for the Soviet Union)
Production of the Mi-24V attack helicopter began in 1976. This version was equipped with the entirely new anti-tank missile system "Sturm-V" with the guidance system "Raduga-Sh," achieving a hit accuracy of over 92%. In other words, 9 or even 10 out of 10 fired missiles hit their target. The Mi-24V thus surpassed its American counterpart, the AH-1S Super Cobra, in combat capabilities. From 1976 to 1986, around one thousand Mi-24V helicopters were produced in the USSR. These helicopters were deployed during the Afghanistan conflict as part of the Soviet armies. Many of them were exported to several countries allied with the USSR. Today, the Mi-24V remains the backbone of the Russian Air Force.
