A true highlight from Tamiya in the realm of 1:48 aircraft models: the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II. This model is a completely new design and a proprietary development by Tamiya. The goal was to create the most detailed model of this aircraft in 1/48 scale. The F-35 comes in three versions: A for the Air Force, B for the Marines, and C for the Navy. The development was part of the JSF program (Joint Strike Fighter Program), and the F-35 is intended to represent the fifth generation of fighter jets. The aircraft features an advanced stealth design, a state-of-the-art network, and countless sensors that provide all necessary data for the pilot and onboard computer. The F-35 was introduced into service in 2015, and a total of 3,000 F-35s are planned to be deployed in various countries.
