The Synology RS820+/RS820RP+ is a 1U rack NAS with 4 bays designed for businesses that want to manage their data effectively and centrally. It is equipped with a quad-core processor and 2 GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 18 GB). It features a PCIe 3.0 slot for an optional 10GbE network card or an M2D18 M.2 SSD adapter card to further enhance the system's random IOPS performance through M.2 NVMe/SATA SSD caching. With link aggregation enabled in a 10GbE environment, the RS820+/RS820RP+ delivers high sequential data throughput of over 1621 MB/s (read) and 599 MB/s (write). With an optional Synology expansion unit RX4183, the storage capacity of the RS820+/RS820RP+ can be expanded to up to 8 drives and 128 TB of gross capacity.
