Equipped with a quad-core processor and an AES-NI hardware encryption module, the DS716+ delivers incredibly fast file transfer speeds—even when processing encrypted data. With link aggregation enabled, the DS716+ achieves average read and write speeds of 223 MB/s and 137 MB/s, respectively, while maintaining an astonishingly high performance level of over 218 MB/s for reading and 141 MB/s for writing during encrypted file transfers. This means that data can be protected without compromising performance.
