The new entry-level NAS from Synology for two hard drives features an 800MHz processor, USB 2.0, 256MB RAM, low power consumption, and wireless dongle support. It runs on DiskStation Manager (DSM) and supports a wide range of existing apps.

It offers RAID 0/1, with three USB devices connectable, such as hard disks, memory sticks, WLAN dongles, and printers. It includes a UPnP/DLNA multimedia server, a surveillance station for network cameras, an integrated web server with PHP and MySQL, an iTunes server, and supports BitTorrent, FTP, and HTTP downloads without a PC. Please note: video transcoding is not possible.
