About the Author:
Born in 1954 in Schlieren near Zurich, he now lives in Oberägeri, Zug. Since graduating with a degree in Geography from the University of Zurich and completing his mountain guide training, he has worked as a freelance professional photographer specializing in outdoor and action photography. In addition to assignments from industry and advertising, he contributes to magazines and journals (including "Stern," "Geo," "National Geographic Adventure," "Spiegel," and "Schweizer Illustrierte").

He is an opinion leader for Nikon. Robert Bösch has published numerous photo books. With his book "Climbing - Temptation of the Unknown," he won the International Mountain Book Award. In addition to outdoor and action themes, he has realized several photo books and reports in recent years on other topics, such as hydropower plants or the St. Moritz horse races "White Turf," as well as the photo books "Switzerland Alpine," "Gotthard Railway," and "Glacier Express," published by AS Verlag. His images have been displayed in various galleries, museums, and exhibitions.

As a mountaineer and climber, he is familiar with extreme climbing and mountain tours in many mountain ranges around the world. His travels and expeditions have taken him to all continents, where he has explored both famous and lesser-known mountains. In 2001, he climbed Mount Everest for an assignment as a photographer and cameraman. In recent years, he has documented many extreme tours by Ueli Steck.
