The optical smoke detector detects visible smoke and reacts quickly with an audible alarm sound. It operates on a 9V battery (batteries included) and does not contain radioactive materials. It automatically indicates the need for battery replacement with an audible signal. Smoke detectors should be installed at least one for every 60m², preferably in every bedroom or in the immediate vicinity. It is also advisable to install a smoke detector in rooms with electrically powered appliances or devices.

The optical smoke detector reacts quickly to smoke from smoldering fires. Always install the smoke detector on the ceiling and avoid proximity to interference-causing electrical devices such as dimmable lights and air conditioning vents (recommended distance approx. 0.5 m). Test the smoke detector regularly, once a month, by pressing the test button until you hear the alarm sound.
