Stem Audio Ceiling

The Stem Ceiling is a ceiling-mounted microphone array featuring a total of 100 microphones arranged in seven concentric rings. This design allows for a 360° recording area beneath the microphone. The coverage size can be adjusted in three levels: narrow, medium, and wide. Upon startup, the microphone automatically configures itself. The network connection is established and tested during the boot phase. A test tone is used to analyze the room conditions, effectively eliminating disruptive reverberation and echo effects during operation. Background noises, such as those from air conditioning or cooling fans of installed media technology, are also reliably suppressed, optimizing speech intelligibility. Signal transmission occurs over the LAN network, which also provides power (PoE+). If a PoE+ network switch is not available, a standard PoE+ injector can be used, eliminating the need for a local power supply for the microphone. The microphone is compatible with all common software-based video and audio conferencing systems, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts, etc. A USB port is also available for this purpose. Installation can be done using included accessories directly on a load-bearing ceiling or suspended.
