Relevant movements are detected using a PIR sensor. The sensor with PIR technology, where PIR stands for passive infrared, responds to minimal local temperature changes that it perceives as infrared light with a specific wavelength. This allows it to register people, vehicles, and animals entering the detection area while ignoring swirling leaves or moving branches. It also does not take into account fluctuations in general temperature, such as those caused by sunlight. In this way, the motion detector avoids false triggers and ensures reliable detection of relevant objects.
