To feel comfortable in a room, a relative humidity of about 40 to 60 percent should prevail. If it falls significantly below this range, one quickly notices a scratchy throat and dry mucous membranes. This is not only uncomfortable but also provides ideal growth conditions for pathogens. Electric helpers can quickly remedy this when the air is too dry. The Steba LB 8 humidifier even features ultrasonic misting of up to 300 ml/h. The desired humidity level can be set between 30 and 90 percent via touch control on the LED display, with three speed settings available. Additionally, the LB 8 humidifier has a 12-hour timer. A ceramic filter softens the water, and a safety shut-off occurs when the water runs out. However, with a water tank capacity of 5.5 liters, this should not happen too often. Furthermore, the LB 8 has a large lid opening, allowing for easy filling and cleaning. Operating at just 35 dB, it is very quiet and suitable for rooms up to 25 square meters. As an added feature, it includes a compartment for fragrance oils, allowing you to add your own scent, such as lavender, which is particularly calming before bedtime.
