The Principia line developed by Italian engineers is characterized by the excellent sound quality and design language that Sonus faber is known for.

The series consists of two bookshelf models, two floor-standing models, and a center speaker, making the Principia series equally suitable for 2-channel stereo music as well as home theater applications. Following the success of the Chameleon series, Sonus faber aims to make high-end audio accessible to everyone with the Principia collection. The five passive speakers in the Principia collection share a close connection with the Chameleon series, both technically and aesthetically.

Key design features such as the trapezoidal shape and the use of brushed aluminum also recall the Chameleon siblings. In terms of drivers, the 29-millimeter dome tweeter has successfully transferred technology, while all other drivers have been newly developed for the Principias: All Principia speakers feature the same high-quality 29 mm tweeter as the Chameleon models, with its textile membrane coated to optimize stiffness. For all other drivers, Sonus faber has also taken the elaborate and consistently chosen route of developing series independently from the ground up for the Principia collection – hence, the newly designed midrange and bass drivers are used exclusively in the Principia speakers.

The Principia speakers are available in flawlessly finished black vinyl, which harmonizes perfectly with both classic and modern interior styles.
