Currently, Media Broadcast is planning further expansion of the transmitter network for the next few years in collaboration with the radio operators of the nationwide programs (Channel 5C). Regional, public, or private digital radio offerings are broadcasted through their own networks, which have no relation to the reception situation of the nationwide stations. Regional programs are tied to the federal states; for example, the programs of BR can only be heard in Bavaria. This is regulated by law.
