The Shelly Motion is so energy-efficient that it can stay connected to Wi-Fi for an entire year on a single battery charge. This is made possible by an extremely energy-saving Wi-Fi and CPU chip from Silicon Labs. Once the battery is depleted, it can be easily recharged via USB. Because the sensor is always connected to Wi-Fi, it can detect motion in less than 200 ms and, for example, turn on a light when you enter the room. Additionally, other actions tailored to your needs are possible. The actions can be triggered based on the day, time, brightness, and sunrise or sunset. With 256 sensitivity levels, the motion detector can be set to detect motion exactly where you want it. A shock sensor with 128 adjustable sensitivity levels will immediately alert you when a disturbance is detected. The Shelly Motion operates directly on the Wi-Fi network, without a hub, and can be controlled via browser, app, voice assistants, as well as MQTT and REST API, along with many other smart home platforms.
