The Ecowitt weather station, powered by Shelly, is a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi weather station that provides a variety of accurate local weather data. It communicates via Bluetooth and integrates seamlessly with the Shelly Smart Control App as well as numerous third-party integrations. This weather station enables automation based on current weather conditions, meaning that, for example, awnings can be automatically retracted when the wind increases, or irrigation systems can be turned off when rain is detected. The measured values include temperature, humidity, dew point, wind direction, wind speed, wind gusts, air pressure, precipitation amount, light intensity, and UV index. The station is solar-powered and has a backup power supply from two AA batteries. Additionally, an optional 12 VDC power supply with a heating element can be used to prevent the rain sensor and solar panel from freezing. Installation is simple and can be done on a 25 mm thick post.
