Product details
The SELFSAT MWR 5550 is a 5G Cat 20 Wi-Fi router designed for mobile internet connections in motorhomes, caravans, and vehicles. It achieves data transfer speeds of up to 3.3 Gbps and includes a black SATCO 5G antenna. This router works with both 4G LTE and 5G mobile networks and simultaneously supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi signals from external sources such as campground Wi-Fi. The MIMO technology allows for the simultaneous transmission and reception of multiple data packets to optimize connection speeds. The device can be powered through 12-volt onboard systems and creates a private, password-protected Wi-Fi network within the vehicle. This offers significantly better signal quality compared to direct connections from smartphones, tablets, laptops, or TVs. The router features GPS vehicle tracking, VPN compatibility with services like OpenVPN, WireGuard, and others, as well as captive portal login capability for campground Wi-Fi networks with authentication pages. Setup and operation are managed through a simplified web interface accessible via internet browsers on Apple or Android smartphones, tablets, or laptops without the need for app installation. Connection is facilitated through QR codes on the router or by entering standard Wi-Fi names and passwords. The unit is sold per package and is compatible with Starlink systems for comprehensive mobile internet solutions.
